LearnWorlds raises $32M by Insight Partners
We first invested in LearnWorlds in the summer of 2019, back in the care-free pre-COVID days with the conviction that the world will be acquiring new skills predominantly via online platforms.
While the team's vision about the future of learining going online was absolutely right no one could predict the acceleration of the trend. In the last year alone LearnWorlds more than tripled revenues and now serves more than 4,300 customers of all sizes around the world. LearnWorlds serves equally edupreneurs venturing into the creator economy as well as schools and corporations in need to train their customers and partners.
The success didn't go unnoticed and quickly capture the interest of Insight Partners, one of the world’s largest venture capital and private equity firms. Nikitas Koutoupes led the $32M investment in LearnWolrds with the goal to advance its product roadmap, boost its customer success and accelerate marketing and sales focused on SMBs. Insight Partners has unique insights into the world of education technologies having backed the likes of PluralSight, Udemy, Epignosis, Skilljar, Chegg, and others.
We couldn't be more excited for the future of LearnWorlds. We are looking forward to seeing what Panos, George, Fanis, and team are building next.
LearnWorlds expects that it will more than double its staff from 80 to 170 full-time employees in the next year, expanding the team internationally, beyond its current headquarters in Greece and Cyprus.
