Archiboost raises $6.2m to catch building plan errors before they hit the field
Construction is one of the world's largest and most complex industries. Every major building project involves thousands of drawings, technical specifications, building codes, and design requirements, often produced by different teams. Making sure all these documents are accurate and consistent is a massive undertaking that still relies heavily on manual work.
Getting it wrong can have significant consequences. A missing fire-safety requirement, an inaccessible doorway, or conflicting architectural and engineering plans can go unnoticed during design, only to surface once construction is underway. By then, what could have been a simple correction can lead to expensive changes, delays, and budget overruns.
Traditionally, finding these problems has depended on experienced architects and engineers manually reviewing thousands of pages, often under tight deadlines. AI could make this process faster and more reliable, but applying the technology to real construction projects is far from straightforward.
AI in architecture, engineering, and construction is crowded and noisy. Firms are pitched new tools every week, and many are demos built by people who have never delivered a building from design through construction. Practitioners are right to be skeptical. Building such tools requires more than technical sophistication. It demands a deep understanding of how projects are designed, coordinated, and built.
Enter Archiboost AI, a San Francisco-based company using AI to help architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners catch mistakes in construction plans before they become expensive problems on site.
Archiboost's platform analyzes construction drawings and related documents to flag potential errors, missing information, and conflicts between different plans. Each finding points back to the relevant documents, allowing professionals to verify and resolve the issue. The company also offers AI tools that help teams navigate building regulations, manage project documentation, and access knowledge from previous projects.

Georgios Kontominas (CEO) and Vasu Jogani (CTO) founded Archiboost, bringing a rare combination of industry expertise and technical experience. Georgios is a licensed architect in California, Texas, the UK, and Greece, having worked at leading architectural firms including SOM and WRNS Studio. He has spent years dealing firsthand with the challenges Archiboost is solving. Previously, Georgios co-founded Pantheon AI, an AI-powered architectural firm that raised $25 million from 8VC, Andreessen Horowitz and Felicis. Vasu is an accomplished AI engineer who has built products across Big Tech (Meta) and startups (Vanta, Nooks AI). Together, they have assembled a team of architects, engineers, and AI specialists who understand both the technology and the realities of construction.

The company's early traction is impressive. Since launch, Archiboost has reviewed more than 550,000 drawing sheets across construction projects valued at over $3.5 billion, flagged over 120,000 potential issues, and answered more than 15,000 building code questions. On some customer projects, the platform has found up to six times as many potential issues as manual reviews, while teams using it have reported up to 70% fewer coordination problems during construction.
Just as importantly, established industry players are already using Archiboost. Customers include prominent US architecture firms WRNS Studio, which has deployed the platform across all four of its offices, and OTJ Architects, as well as real estate owner RXR.
We are excited to back Georgios, Vasu, and their team as Archiboost announces $6.2 million in funding. Marathon led the company's Seed round, following a Pre-Seed round led by Hanabi Capital, with participation from RXR Arden Digital Ventures, Perceptive Ventures, Valley Capital Partners, and angel investors including Scott Belsky, former Chief Product Officer at Adobe. The company is also supported by experienced industry advisors, including Phil Bernstein, Deputy Dean of the Yale School of Architecture and former Vice President at Autodesk.
Document review is only the starting point. Archiboost's longer-term ambition is to connect this information into a unified intelligence layer that can reason across an entire construction project, understand how changes in one area affect others, and help teams make better decisions as projects evolve. This represents a much bigger opportunity, fundamentally changing how complex buildings are designed, coordinated, and delivered.
We believe AI has enormous potential in industries where complex processes, fragmented information, and costly mistakes have long held back productivity. Archiboost is already demonstrating how that potential can translate into real customer value. With the right combination of industry knowledge, technical talent, and early market adoption, Georgios and Vasu are well positioned to build an important company in this space.
